AIBIS and AFIRD agree to collaborate on Permaculture and Agroecology.

AIBIS and the Agency for Integrated Rural Development (AFIRD) have agreed to collaborate closely in doing work in the fields of permaculture and agroecology.

In a meeting held at the AFIRD Offices in Nkowe between the AIBIS Executive Director Allan Kalangi and the AFIRD Executive Director Eustace Sajjabi it was agreed that the two organisations offer each other resource persons during trainings of their target beneficiaries and use their sites for knowledge and experience sharing.

“The greatest thing human beings can share is knowledge. We are therefore ready to share what we know in the fields of permaculture and agroecology with AIBIS and we are also willing and ready to learn from them, “Sajjabi said.

Kalangi thanked Sajjabi and his team for being hospitable and being very generous in sharing their knowledge on organic farming. He said that he remained looking forward to close collaboration and cooperation.

After the meeting, the AFIRD team conducted the AIBIS team around their permaculture demonstration site where a lot knowledge was shared.
